Karen Ryan

I grew up right here in Congress Park as the youngest of nine children, back when there were over 100 kids on our block! My husband and I loved this neighborhood so much that we chose to raise our own family here, and 23 years later, it’s still home. All three of our children are proud Teller alumni, which makes teaching here even more meaningful to me.

When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me reading, riding my Peloton, crafting, or decorating my classroom to make it a fun and welcoming space for students. I’m also a big Bruce Springsteen fan. Being part of the Teller community as both a parent and teacher has been such a gift, and I’m grateful to continue growing and learning alongside my students each year.
