Discovery Link

Discovery Link (previously Kaleidoscope Corner) partners with Teller Elementary to provide before and after school care for registered families. As a neighborhood center, Discovery Link also runs most of our after school enrichment opportunities for Teller students and the greater community. If you’re interested in registering for Discovery Link, Enrichment, or have questions, please email or call our Program Specialist Laurel Hollenbaugh at laurel_hollenbaugh@dpsk12.org (303) 241-1133.

School Year 2017/18 Registration: Registration Packets will be available on April 14th for currently enrolled families on site, May 1st for new families here

CURRENTLY enrolled families can submit fall registration packets from April 17 – April 28 to Laurel in the cafeteria or Gabby in the office, at the Discovery Link Registration Office , and via email to discovery_link@dpsk12.org for the 2017-2018 school year. Returning families with up-to date accounts as of May 8, 2017 are guaranteed a position for their students if registration packets are submitted between April 17 – April 28.  Siblings of current students have priority status and are guaranteed a position in our programs as long as registration packets are submitted between April 17-April 28. As a reminder, only complete packets will be accepted, including an up-to-date immunization history.

NEW and WAITLISTED families can submit fall registration packets from May 8 – May 12 to Laurel in the cafeteria or Gabby in the office, at the Discovery Link Registration Office , and via email to discovery_link@dpsk12.org for the 2017-2018 school year.  Many of our Discovery Link programs have waitlists so it is important to turn your packet in early. The date and time you submit your completed packet will determine if you receive an available spot or your placement on the waitlist. Your timestamp will be honored regardless of the location you submit your registration packet or if submitted through email. Currently waitlisted families are guaranteed to maintain their spot on the waitlist or move up as long as registration is submitted between May 8 and May 12.

Dismissal Days/Camps (Childcare when there’s NO SCHOOL!)

Discovery Link offers full day programming on most DPS Teacher Planning and Assessment days (Discovery Days) and holds full day camps during several days of the holiday breaks (Discovery Camp).

ALL FAMILIES wishing to attend camps that happen while school is out MUST REGISTER!

Registration is taken on a first come, first served basis for these programs.

  • If your child is currently registered in Discovery Link, you will just need to fill out a Dismissal Day Registration Form for the day(s) you need.
  • If your child is not currently registered for Discovery Link before and/or after school care, please fill out a full application. Childcare is offered for all families, not just those already registered with Discovery Link! You will also be required to provide a copy of your child’s Immunization Record, if it is not already on file with Discovery Link.
