Laura Landgreen

My name is Laura Landgreen and I am grateful to be kicking off my 17th year as an educator at Teller! Originally from Eugene, Oregon, I earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Nebraska where I also repped the Huskers as a member of the swim team. After completing my student teaching, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where I officially began my career as an educator at an elementary school in East Palo Alto. Eventually, I moved to Los Angeles and found myself back in the classroom as a student at UCLA where I earned a master’s degree in educational psychology.

After graduate school, I relocated to Denver and have been both a classroom teacher and dean of culture within Denver Public Schools since 2019. I’m happy to land here at Teller where I can share my passion for literacy with the oldest readers and writers within this vibrant and involved community! When I’m not editing papers, I love spending time with my two very entertaining children and our two absolutely feral dogs. You can find us on soccer pitches, flag football fields, and at track meets where we’re doing anything but standing still. I also love to travel, swim in the ocean as frequently as possible, build LEGO creations with my kids, and take overly ambitious road trips!
