Our community garden and its programming could not be done without Mrs. Lisa Davis, or as our kids lovingly call her, “Ms. Lisa.” 🌱 Under her caring and expert guidance, the Teller Community Garden has blossomed into a place of growth, learning, and community spirit.
From kindergarteners to third graders, our young gardeners are discovering the wonders of nature’s bounty right in our own backyard. With Ms. Lisa’s patient teachings, they are not only cultivating plants but also nurturing valuable life skills.

Our 4th and 5th graders are rolling up their sleeves and putting their thinking caps on, as they continue to run amazing Farmer’s Markets right here at Teller.In partnership with FTFT Farms and Miller Farms, we’re proud to offer our community fresh produce and fresh bread. The students calculate pricing, create recipes, and do on the fly math to practice their skills in action.

All proceeds from the Student-Run Farmers Market will go straight to the Teller Pantry program, fueling their incredible mutual aid efforts. Every first Friday of the month, something special happens at our school – it’s Reading Buddies day! Reading Buddies is more than just reading; it’s about building bridges between different grades and creating lasting bonds. Imagine the excitement when first graders team up with fifth graders to explore the enchanting world of books together.
This program not only nurtures a love for reading but also cultivates the spirit of collaboration and mentorship. Younger students gain confidence and fluency as they read with their older peers, while older students develop leadership skills and a sense of responsibility.
