Teller Elementary School’s sponsorship program is different from a typical advertisement. Your gift does more than just getting your company’s name in front of potential customers, it supports our school, our neighborhood and your own business.
Being a Teller sponsor shows the people who live in walking distance of your business that you care about their kids. Your contribution and loyalty to our community gives your customers and potential customers a meaningful reason to become loyal to you. By strengthening your local public school, you are maintaining or even increasing property values, which keeps our neighborhood vibrant and your business strong. So an investment in Teller is actually an investment in your own business.
Teller Elementary is a diverse community comprised of engaged students, committed parents, dedicated teachers, staff and leaders, and the support of surrounding community. We all work together to help our students and to make Teller one of the best schools in Denver.
Denver Public Schools gives us a foundation, but it’s not enough to make our school the best it can be. That’s where our parents and community come in. Fundraising efforts help Teller Elementary fill the gap between what we want for our kids and what is provided by our current Denver Public Schools budget. With state budgets continuing to be threatened by cuts, and drastic reductions in community resources, we are at risk of eliminating vital programs that contribute to a well-rounded education for all of our students.
Each year our goal is to raise a minimum of $100,000. Our Teller parents and guardians continual support our school fund directly through our program called “Simply Giving”. However, we rely on our sponsors to supplement these funds to create a more stable revenue source for the school, make budgeting more predictable, and improve our attractiveness for external grant proposals. Our diversified approach to funding is essential to providing our children with a high quality, creative learning environment that rivals other competitive schools in the district.
Your gift supports the annual fundraising grant given by the PTA to Teller Elementary which helps to maintain daily operations, without which, there were be less funds for PE, art, music, drama, library, technology, additional paraprofessional support and amazingly talented and experienced teachers. These resources help hundreds of students build creativity, confidence, and character. Direct funds also support a number of activities including, but not limited to: classroom grants and supplies; student assistance; enrichment scholarships; community events, such as the Halloween Carnival and Spring Dance; teacher appreciation week, and PTA fees and general expenses.
