Fun Run

APEX LEGENDS

The Apex Fun Run is TOMORROW

TODAY is the last day to get Sponsors benefiting

Teller Elementary through the Teller PTA!

What an awesome job our students (and parents) have done with our 1st annual APEX Fun Run. We are in the final stretch now!

PREPARING for TOMORROW:

  • Every student will be given an APEX Fun Run t-shirt when they get to class in the morning.
  • Wear shoes that are comfortable to run in
  • Get a good night’s sleep
  • Eat a healthy breakfast (and lunch for those who are running in the afternoon)
  • Stay hydrated – start today
  • Don’t forget the sunscreen

IMAGINE if every student got just 1 MORE sponsor tonight for $1/lap or a $30 flat donation; that would INCREASE our total earnings for our school by over $7,000… in just one night!!! And don’t forget, APEX is also giving back to the community in our name. For every student that has earned $10/lap, APEX will donate 40 meals to a hungry child in your honor.

RUN TIMES

(Parents are encouraged to come out and cheer on the students)

ECE, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd at 8:30am

3rd, 4th and 5th grades at 9:35 am

*Apex Fun Run is a for-profit organization that is assisting the PTA with this fundraiser.

Plan

Do you like live music, throwing big parties and being a part of the community? Then we want you for the Tellerpalooza planning committee. Tellerpalooza is Teller’s largest fundraiser each year and it depends solely on the parents and the community to make it a success. We have lots of open spots on the committee so you’re sure to find something that suits your interests. Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 6:00-7:00pm in the Teller Library.

 Kindness

Random Acts of Kindness Week is February 12-18

During the week, post your photos and ideas in the Teller Elementary Facebook Community and use #RAKWeek2017. Stay tuned for the Kindness Generator to go live.

Until then, plan out your kindness ideas! Some favorite kindness ideas:

  • Write a letter of gratitude to someone who deserves recognition.
  • Compliment the first three people you see.
  • Host a “REAL happy hour” and gather a group to do random acts of kindness over one hour.
  • Write a positive comment on a social media post or blog post.
  • Spend 10 minutes doing something kind for yourself!

Thanks for making this world a kinder place!

Get Hot Lunch from Ms. Catrina!

During the week of Valentine’s Day (Feb. 13th-17th), Ms. Catrina will be entering the names of all students who get ‘hot lunch’ from the cafeteria into a drawing. She’ll draw names for a chance to win some awesome prizes! Ms. Catrina LOVES making healthy, tasty food for us, and we’d like to support her by increasing the number of students eating lunch in the lunchroom. She loves getting feedback on the food, so encourage your kiddos to let her know what works and what doesn’t, and remind them to eat HOT LUNCH on February 13th-February 17th!
