Some helpful tidbits…

First Day of School

Breakfast

Breakfast is served starting at 7:45am accompanied by a parent/guardian or at 7:55am without parent/guardian supervision. Breakfast is free to all students daily.

Kiss & GO Lane

If you plan on using the ‘Kiss & GO’ lane, it opens at 7:55am. Please review the ‘Kiss & GO’ route/flow of traffic located below:

Teller Kiss and Go Route

If you are utilizing the ‘Kiss and GO’ please remember to pull all the way up to the gate and let your child out there with the support of Teller Staff. Do not allow your children to get out of the car in the Kiss and Go Lane without being at the gate.

Lining Up at Beginning of Day

All students will line up at 8:10am at their designated lineup location on the playground. Each classes location is marked on the building walls and will also be the same spot by which teachers will be available during the Lemonade Social. Each classroom will dismiss at the same location at the end of the day.

Discovery Link

If your child is registered for before and after school care through Discovery Link, this care will start on the first day of school at 6:30am. After school care will be from 3:00pm – 6:00pm.  Discovery Link will not provided childcare for kindergarten and ECE half-day releases. If you have additional questions, please contact Laurel: laurel_hollenbaugh@dpsk12.org

Field Update

At the beginning of August, Denver Public Schools installed sod on our playground field. Though this gift is kind and happily received, it causes us to think creatively about recess. We have been instructed that no students are to be allowed onto the field until February in order for the sod to ‘take’ and survive. Teller Elementary has purchased additional playground equipment and carts to supplement activity during this time. Thank you for your understanding and we will make the best of it together.

Back to School Night

Back to School Night will hosted on Thursday, August 31st from 5:00pm – 6:30pm. This is a student-free event and is an opportunity for parents to learn more about their students individual classrooms, teachers,  and school-wide operational details. All parents and guardians are highly encouraged to attend. More specific details will be published soon.
