All School – Student and Staff Fieldtrip – April 10, 9:15-12:30Teller students and staff have been invited to visit the Denver Art Museum. Students, Teachers, Support and Office Staff will take part in this wonderful opportunity. The building will be locked until we return around noon. Students not wishing to attend or who are running late in the morning should not report to school until 12:30. Students will eat when we get back to school. Please make note of this date and make sure you do not schedule any appointments for your child. We will not send out permission slips. Parents will need to let us know if their child will not be attending the field trip. There are many other great field trips scheduled for each grade level. Classroom teachers will communicate these dates with you. Organizing for Next YearCommittees have begun meeting and will continue meeting through the end of the year to help us get organized and ready to hit the ground running in August. We are working on scheduling, calendaring events and developing student groupings, as well as creating school wide behavior and expectation plans that the Teller community can live by. As the school year wraps up, we will be sharing our ideas and plans at the CSC and PTA meetings. As you can see, we have a lot going on. On top of it all, the weather will be warming up and our students will naturally be feeling some growing pains. Please talk daily with your child about the importance of continuing to stay focused on his or her school work and respecting our staff and peers. We have confidence that our students will continue to work hard and we will reward students with field trips and other fun end-of-the year activities. Unfortunately, we will not allow those students not meeting the expectations of the school and staff to attend upcoming events. As the weather warms make sure your child Dresses for Success. Help your child distinguish between school and play clothes. The following are not appropriate for school:

This year, CHUN has graciously donated the entire main level to us for the evening. Last year was a grand success and a ton of fun, so we could use the extra space! Again we have partnered with Marczyk's Fine Wines who will be sampling approximately 25 different summer wines at this event. Luca D'Italia, Mizuna, and Osteria Marco and Chef Monique Rugile will provide delicious hors d’oeuvres. The cost for entry is $25 per person or $40 per couple, proceeds of which support Teller. Wine will also be available to purchase from Marczyk's Fine Wines and they will donate a percentage of their proceeds back to the school. This is a grown-ups only event, so plan your babysitters now. Volunteers are needed to make this event a success! Please see our Taste for Teller section for more details.Destination ImaginationAll of our DI Teams did a wonderful job at the DI event on March 14…way to go teams!!Two of our competitive teams took first place and will be going to the State Competition. The 4th and 5th grade team, Maximum Mucho Muscles, not only took first place, but also received the Renaissance Award for outstanding design, engineering or performance. Below you will find the description given to them by the judges. We are very proud! The other first-place team, CP Insiders (pictured below), is comprised of 5th graders from Teller and other teammates from Morey- all of whom attended Teller. ![]() CP INSIDERS: Casey Schilling, Katie Foust, Madison Yawger, Taylor Kipp, Maya Otsuki, Aubrey Vial and Quinn Yawger. Bottom row-- coaches: Julie Lang and Michele Foust. ![]() Maximum Mucho Muscles was coached by Robb Troxler & Sue Schwellerbach. Student members pictured below are Coco Hindlemann, Kate Bernacchi-Sass, Jason Otsuki, Alexander Troxler and Karl Whitman. Renaissance Award- Notes from the judgesThis team (Maximum Mucho) wowed us at the end of their performance with a grand exit that allowed all team members to ascend to heaven while balancing beautifully on a carefully constructed and measured fulcrum. It is this innovation that amazed us, but the whole challenge was glorious. Team members were clearly having fun and allowed the appraisers to have fun with them. This team learned and showed a lot of knowledge about Greek mythology and art. They showed seamless teamwork; obviously enjoyed each other’s company and showed the true spirit of DI. The Raffle Continues!Due to high demand, Omarose has purchased more tickets for the Facilities Managers (head custodian) Recognition Day, where the district awards our FMs for all the hard work they do to make our schools shine. There are 2 main prizes: 4 Season Passes to Elitches with a Season Parking Pass Raffle tickets are $1 each.
