Teller PTA News October 2006
Halloween Carnival Attention all ghouls and goblins! The annual Halloween Carnival is quickly approaching. Our auditorium will be transformed into a haunted house and there will be fun and games, and of course, candy for all. The date for this year's carnival is Thursday, October 26th from 6:00-8:30pm. Tickets will be available in advance at bargain prices. Look for info on ordering tickets in your Thursday folder soon. WE need your help to make this carnival a success by:
- Donating candy for prizes (please bring candy to the office).
- Donating cakes for our popular cake walk.
- Volunteering to plan or staff the event.

The Art Show is planned for Friday, November 17 from 5-8 pm at various venues along Colfax, between Milwaukee and Cook Streets (including Good Friends, Mezcal, Goosetown Tavern, Barb's Flowers, Hooked on Colfax Coffee Shop and others) Marla Tomberg has planned a very exciting show based on a contemporary African American artist's work. Art from K-5th graders will be displayed throughout the businesses. We need help to promote the event, get sponsors, hang and take down art and make donation jars. GROCERY CERTIFICATES Grocery certificates will be available for sale outside of the school every Friday at drop-off and pick-up. Please look for Liesl Worrell and her orange sign if you are interested in purchasing them. They will also be available for purchase in the office. This is an easy way to make money for Teller since everyone needs groceries. Get your certificates before your next shopping trip!
