Teller Yahoo Group FAQ
1. How do I post to the list?
A - Simply e-mail to the very same address that is sending you the messages. To ensure we
keep the e-mail traffic to a reasonable level and no objectionable
content makes it through, all messages must be approved by a board
member. This is done automatically but, since we all are very busy,
there might be some delay between the time you send your message and
the time you see it posted. See the Teller PTA Group Site Moderation Policy on how the board will judge postings.
2. How do I unsubscribe from this site?
A - All the messages have an 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom. Simply
click this link to unsubscribe.
3. Is this mailing list more than just an e-mail list?
A - Yes. While the e-mail list is central, there is a web site the
goes along with the list. This web site offers a calendar of events
and a complete searchable archive of the almost 500 messages that have
ever been sent to the list. However, most of you have been added to
just the e-mail list with no access to this content. To gain access to
this extra content, you need to create a Yahoo user ID. You can create
your user ID by simply clicking the 'Visit Your Group' link at the
bottom of any e-mail from this list and follow the
instructions.
4. How many members do we have?
A - We have 298 members on this list as of October 2008. This includes parents, faculty, and staff.
5. Someone from the Teller community wants to sign-up. What do I tell them?
A - There is a link to sign-up on the teller site : http://teller.dpsk12.org/TellerPTA. All membership requests are approved by the board.
6. I know I am signed up but I never receive messages.
A - The most common reason is that these messages are being marked as
spam. If so, see if you have a spam folder and see if these messages
are there. Most of the time, you can simply add the e-mail address of the list to your address book to stop the message
from being marked as spam.
Note: e-mail addresses have been removed from this public html page to maintain privacy.
