2007/08 Teller Library FundraiserLast year's fundraiser replaced 49 animal books!!! This year we would like to boost the reference section of our library. There's no sizle or glamour here, but this section is very necessary in helping our students achieve Standard 2 of the Information and Literacy standards. The Collection Development gurus say that reference materials shouldn't be more than ten years old, and almanacs should be replaced every year. With the high cost of reference books, it's hard to replace them this frequently. I was fortunate to find a used set of encyclopedias this summer for $1.50 a volume. It is three years old, but much newer than our other sets. I'd like to use this fundraiser to purchase the 2008 World Book set at a pre-sale prices this December. (Editor's note: We did it! We now have the new World Book set.) If you would like to help with our reference setion upgrade by purchasing a book, please indicate your preference below. Your family's name will be written in the front coer of the book, or you may be anonymous.
